Equestrian
The Charleston Equestrian Club was established in Virginia, USA in 1734 and is the earliest equestrian club in the world.
The sport made its debut at the 1900 Olympics and then in 1912.
Equestrian competitions include three events: show jumping, dressage and all-around equestrian competition (three-day event).
Equestrian competitions require good coordination between jockeys and horses, and test the horse's skills, speed, endurance and ability to overcome obstacles.
TENNIS
Tennis was born in France, originated in Britain in the 19th century, and began to develop rapidly around the world in the 20th century. It is a beautiful and competitive sport.
The United States Tennis Association (USTA), the world's largest tennis organization, runs its own circuit of junior tournaments for different age groups. With the first junior tournaments held in the 1910s, the circuit now runs annually, ranging from regional level to national and international events.
GOLF
Golf originated in Scotland in the 15th century. It is a sport with special charm that allows people to exercise, cultivate their sentiments, improve their character, and communicate skills in a beautiful natural environment. It is known as a "fashionable and elegant sport."
Currently, the more well-known individual competitions in the world include: The British Open, the British Amateur Golf Championship, the US Open, the US Amateur Golf Championship, the US Masters and the US Professional Golf Association Championship.
FENCING
Fencing is a sport developed from ancient sword duels. It combines graceful movements with flexible tactics, requires athletes to have a high degree of mental concentration and good physical coordination, and reflects the athletes' good movements and quick reactions.
In 1896, the first modern Olympic Games held in Athens included men's foil and sabre competitions.
SINGAPORE MATH
The Singapore Mathematics International Institute (SMIL) is an international collaboration between the Singapore Mathematics Research Group (SMRG), whose researchers are from the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, focusing on mathematics education and systems, and furthering research in STEM.
SMIL is headquartered in Singapore and its North American branch is in Canada. Breakdance is a type of street dance. It originated in New York City, USA in the 1970s and is one of the four major elements of hip-hop culture.
On December 7, 2020, the International Olympic Committee officially announced that it will officially become an Olympic event and will make its debut at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
