French training camp
Mastering a foreign language is like building a building. You must lay a solid foundation and acquire a set of "basic skills" at the basic stage before you can move to a higher level.
The main goal of the French training camp is to enable students to master the basic knowledge and basic skills of French.
As far as language is concerned, it is a method of imparting language knowledge, supplemented by a large amount of language practice, so that students can master correct pronunciation, basic grammar and a certain number of vocabulary; as far as speech teaching is concerned, it is through repeated and extensive practice that students can master the preliminary comprehensive abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing, laying a solid foundation for being able to conduct fluent conversations in the future.
Voice training
As we all know, speech is the shell of language. It is the foundation of the three elements of language. Vocabulary and grammar are both reflected through speech, which determines the status of speech in the foreign language learning process.
Only with accurate pronunciation can we understand each other and achieve the purpose of expressing and exchanging ideas.
The learned language should be stored in the brain in the correct form and reproduced in the correct form to achieve the feeling of the language. Accurate pronunciation can ensure the most effective mastery of grammar and vocabulary and improve the ability to use the language in practice. The importance of pronunciation can be seen from this.
In order to help students better understand the differences in the pronunciation of related phonemes, we will use simple diagrams to make comparisons, but more importantly, we will use some methods to help them train their abilities.
After this repeated training, most students can learn basically correct pronunciation in a relatively short period of time.
Phonetics and intonation are closely related. Correct phonetics is a prerequisite, but mastering phonetics alone is not enough. You must also learn the correct pronunciation and intonation of coherent sentences.
You can't be biased towards either one.
French grammar training
To master a language well, it is important to have a solid foundation. It is not enough to just have words, you also need to figure out how to connect these words into sentences, which requires verb conjugation and coordination.
Person, tense, singular and plural, gender, object position, none of them can be missing. Memorizing verb conjugation is the prerequisite for fluent expression, which requires hard work, and there is no shortcut. Daily practice is essential, as well as using your brain and heart, and trying to find common points and discover patterns.
Once you have sentences, you need to find a way to put them together into a paragraph or an article. Here, the most important thing is to choose different conjunctions and clauses according to the logical relationship and emphasis. French is a language that pays great attention to order, and some small words are very important.
Implement the principle of "detailed teaching and more practice"
Precision teaching does not mean talking less, but rather highlighting the key points, grasping the essentials, and teaching in concise language in response to the difficulties and doubts that students may have.
Practicing more means enabling students to digest and absorb knowledge and apply it proficiently through various training methods such as sentence making, translation or question-and-answer.
The benefits of doing so are: first, it "forces" students to use their brains and practice speaking, which can break the dull situation of one-man-show teaching and thus liven up the classroom atmosphere;
Secondly, through students speaking, writing and reading, we can not only check the teacher’s teaching effectiveness, but also understand students’ understanding and mastery of knowledge.
During the practice, any phenomenon of seeming to understand but not really understanding, or pretending to understand will be "exposed".
